Winter Weather Alert – U.S. Mid-Atlantic States

Updated 1/22/2104:  As of this morning, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reports that all U.S. airports are operating normally and experiencing minimal flight delays. Road conditions remain hazardous for ground transport, but are passable in most areas.

 

WINTER WEATHER ALERT:  Air & Surface Logistics is monitoring another strong winter storm system as it moves towards the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States.  Accumulations of up to 12 inches are expected in some areas.

As winter weather conditions develop, there is a possibility that both air and ground service may be disrupted (delayed, diverted, and/or cancelled) over the next 24-48 hours.

Airports/Cities most likely to be impacted by this storm include:

  • Baltimore/Washington (BWI)
  • Boston Logan (BOS)
  • Hartford (BDL)
  • Long Island/Islip (ISP)
  • New York (LaGuardia) (LGA)
  • Newark (EWR)
  • Norfolk (ORF)
  • Philadelphia (PHL)
  • Providence (PVD)
  • Washington (Dulles) (IAD)
  • Washington (Reagan National) (DCA)
